Why the Twitch panel still matters

A Twitch panel with a donation link is one of the simplest places where viewers can find support after opening the channel. It works when the copy is clear and the link points to a ready donation page.

Do not treat the panel like a footer full of random links. For a streamer who wants to monetize live, the panel should explain why viewers should click and what happens after the click.

P15 measures whether Twitch viewers move from the panel into donation activation without losing attribution.

Step 1: prepare the donation page

Before adding the panel, check the public donation page, PLN amounts, payment method, and test checkout. A panel link should not point to unfinished setup.

Set a short goal description: what donations support, the simplest way to help, and whether the viewer can add a message.

Add attribution parameters to the CTA: `source_post_id=P15`, Twitch channel, and `twitch-panel` intent. That lets you separate panel traffic from stream description or chat.

Step 2: add the panel on Twitch

On the channel page, enable panel editing, add a title, image or text, description, and link. Twitch documentation describes info panels below the video player and supports links in panel descriptions.

Place the panel high, next to the most important channel information. If viewers must scroll past rules, PC specs, and several socials, the donation link loses the decision moment.

After saving, open the channel as a regular viewer on desktop and phone. Confirm the link is visible, the description is not too long, and the click opens the right page.

What to measure after publishing P15

Measure article clicks, `twitch-panel` intent clicks, donation-page visits, and checkout starts. Panel impressions alone are not enough.

Compare two copy variants: simple `Support the stream` and specific `Support the stream goal in PLN`. The winner has better CTR without more abandoned visits.

In the weekly report, state whether the blocker is panel visibility, trust in the donation page, or payment friction.
